help on headlights...

help on headlights...

i put in some new lights on my 84 n/a. i only have brights and no dim...what do ya'll think....plus...how do i do the sleepy eyed mod...i have searched it to death and cant find anything...thanks

The sleeper mod is actually super easy! Under your steering wheel, you'll find a bunch of wires and plugs. One of them (a small flat one that links four wires) if unplugged will keep your headlights in their lowered position when you turn on your headlights, and will still rise when you press the "rise" button on the dash. There's a pic of it on this site somewhere....otherwise, just trial and error!

The alternative, which is how I had it before I found the wires, is to simply take out the two fuses for your headlight motors. But if you do it that way, you won't be able to open the headlight lids with the "rise" button for those really dark streets...

I Had The Same Problem Replaced The Switch That Turns Them On And Off And Everything Works Fine Now Hope That Helps Robby 31 Had It Done At Local Shop For 200.00
