I am getting ready to install a dash cap but the dashboard has a few fairly large cracks where it has sort of "heaved" up and is uneven... what is the best way to deal with that?

Also, does anyone know where I can get some of the thin rubber molding that goes in the chrome body side rails?

Thanks,
Gen

Yup, where the cracks are, the black plastic coating probably swells upward. Get a chisel and hack that dash apart. Take off the top layer an inch back on each side of the cuts. I did that on my dash. Almost took the whole dash off! :D

then clean the mess up and spread out the dash glue generouly.

I'm about to do one, as well. Where can I pick up some of that dash glue?

Thanks, I thought I saw somewhere about filling the gaping holes with silicone, that a good idea?

Thanks,
