Aftermarket Hoods

for all those who have bought an aftermarket hood, what's the best place to buy (fitment/quality/price)? i'm looking for a fiberglass hood- i'd like to keep the cost of the hood around $200, and the shipping about $100 (to cali). i've heard some nightmare stories about differing qualities of fiberglass parts, and don't wanna get stuck with a monstrosity.

also, if anyone has a hood (steel/fiberglass) for sale locally in the SF Bay Area, i'm interested...

thanx

i'd stay away form showcars they seem very "shady". They have no pictures of any of their "products" on any cars jsut the parts laying on the ground. I'd get a spare hood and make a mold of it and confrom it to the way / look of the way that you want... add a scoop or a bigger cowl or what ever you can think of that will make that hood yours that way you know its exactly the way you want it to look on your car. If for some reason you don't have the room or time or what ever ask around your area maybe some in your area can help you out. it might take a little more money that you want to spend but then you know the quality is what you want and the way you want it to look.

thats just my rant. I'll be making a hood as soon as i can get the materials and have a friend help enginer the hood with me.
