so get this...

i got this turbo off ebay from a guy who has a whole z parts store and he told me it was a rebuilt turbo. well i get it and the turbine doesn't move at all. and all the bolts were missing off the compresser side (i think) i called him and asked about it and he gave me the run around and i found out that he just rattle canned the turbo like 5 times without covering the turbine or anything. he wont give me a refund so my question is, any way to make it work or is there any kinda rebuild kit i can buy? or should i just try to find a new/used one because this is the last thing between me and getting my car back together.
thanks for the help,
sean

Did you pay via Paypal? You can file a complaint & usually get your $$$ back. A GOOD rebuild on that turbo will run $250-$500.

In case no one has told you yet... DON'T BUY TURBOS ON EBAY.

yea i went through paypal. well the whole reason i went with ebay is because, being 16 and making 6 bucks an hour is pretty horrible. especially when it comes to an engine rebuild. any good sites to get one from?

I wouldn't take the one he sent you apart or you'll risk messing up your refund. Put it in the box it came in and send it back in the same condition you received it. Take some photos of it to document what was wrong with it in the event you have to "prove" your side. Write down everything that was said on your earlier call to him as best you can remember along with any dates, times and save copies of any emails you have with him. If you screw with the turbo, you may loose your money.

And don't wait until tomorrow to file the complaint. It's online and you can do it any time day or night.

Maybe this item? http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Datsu...spagenameZWDVW

I sure hope this wasn't the one... it sold for $200 + $28 shipping. Doesn't really say that the item FUNCTIONS tho. And the wastegate actuator is disconnected.

I REALLY HOPE THIS ISN'T THE ONE....

" Clean and ready to install, includes everything shown."
I hope you can use the ready to install part as him implying that it requires no work or rebuild and that it was functional.

it can't be installed as pictured. The wastegate actuator is in the way. But, once installed there was no claim to its functionality except for in the feedback he says that it came off of a running car. Maybe the turbine just needs to be freed up from paint and then it may actually work.

wow what a DOUCHEBAG!!!!!!!! where's he live? some one should go to his house and kidnap his daughter. DIBS!!!!!

EDIT: wow! this guy is something ****ing else. im looking at his feedback and some dude gave him nuetral, which is no big, and the guy tore him apart and gave him negative. and i see in the feedback he called you a LIAR! lol. can you post a vid and or picts of the turbo as you have it? and yeah thats totally spray painted the wastegate actuator though on the wrong side (needs re-clocked) should be a nice brass/gold color.

EDIT: this guy is a total redneck troll. lol, he is totally just riping parts and sending them. and when he gets negative feedback he says LAIR instead of liar..... lol. and then calls them a scammer and says seller be aware not beware. seriously look for all his negative/nuetral feeeback its a riot!
