Carpet kit for 280Z

I have been shopping around for weeks on the internet for a molded carpet kit. Everyone seems to have different opinions about where to by these kits. I pretty well have it narrowed it down to "Stock interiors", MSA or Z specialties (Zman). I would appreciate any of your suggestions.

It will depend on what quality and how close to OEM you would like to get. I have heard MSA sells a very nice kit and fits well. In my case i wanted to replace my 77' 280z carpet because it was bleached out from the sun and smelled like a wet dog. I did not care about selling my car on Barret Jackson, this car was my dad's and will stay in the family so will never be sold. My wife purchased a carpet kit on e-bay and it fit great and looks 100% better than what was in it, and did not cost a small fortune

Thanks for the reply! Yea; I want to keep it as original as possible and keep the cost down also.

I used the MSA kit on my restoration, and was very pleased with the quality, fit, and value. Of course, that was at least 3 years ago, but I don't think they changed vendors on that. I have also purchased parts (though not carpet) from Z Man at Z Specialties, and been impressed with their service.
Note: you do still have to do some cutting with any kit. They all give some extra allowance to fit your individual situation. It's simple, though, just a little trimming along the door sill, at the front of the driveline tunnel, and so forth. I used a brand new razor knife blade, and a pair of heavy duty scissors, and it worked fine.

Thanks Dave. I think that I am going with MSA with the carpet. Now I'm trying to decide on the best sound deadener for the buck. It seems that Dynamat Extreme is one of the top choices but it's expensive - especially if you need more than 1 pack (36sqft). I read that Fat Mat is twice as thin but have 1read some good things about B-quite. Do any of you-all have any input on this?
Thanks.
