need help with floorboards and rear deck
Hey guys. As you can tell, I'm new here, but not to Z cars. I have been surrounded by them my entire life.
Anyways, I have a '74 260z and the floorboards look pretty rusted. Does anyone know where I can get automotive-qualitly or rust-resistant metal to weld in-place of the current floorboards or if anyone makes a pre-stamped floorboard direct replacement? Thanks.
Another problem- my rear trunk deck lid doesn't open- I assume the lock is broken. How do I go about getting to the lock- I can't see how. Of course it doesn't help i'm a freaken ogre and I can't squeeze back there to gain much access to the lock, but any tips would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

I agree , I have installed one of his floors and they are first quality. To get at the latch on the rear hatch . You will need to remove the pannel that coverers the area just below the glass. This will expose the latch assembly.

Dave,
"Does anyone know where I can get automotive-qualitly or rust-resistant metal to weld in-place of the current floorboards or if anyone makes a pre-stamped floorboard direct replacement?"
I just saw an ad in Sport Z Magazine today but they are not cheap.

Try turning the whole lock by hand. If it turns the mechanism has come adrift inside. That's the bad part but the good part is if you turn it enough you can either get it to line up or remove it through the hole.
Good luck
