Painting the Zed

While waiting for a new computer for the LT1 I decided to get rid of the primer grey that it has been in for way to long now. I didn't have the $$$ for a nice paint job so I am doing it myself.

I first went with a Rustoleum semi-gloss white that was tinted. When I went back to get more the paint expert said that its not tintable. So he sugested to use a Valspar paint that i can tint any color I want. He said its pretty much the same chemical backround as rustoleum so what the heck.

After taping off the car and getting it ready for paint I went at it with a cheap harbor freight paint gun. The car is going to be green and the hood/hatch are gloss black. I might do some other black highlights like the chrome but not to sure yet.

Any how here are the pics, first is the rustoleum and second is the valspar paint. (once coated with an automotive clear it will be just like an expensive paint job. I have about $70 into all the material)

I have about 3 more coats of color to put on and then about 4-5 coats of clear.

Thats just cause you got kicked out of the club, can't blame that on me.

Sean is now the new club president if you want I can see if he will let you back in if you want.
