Bigger tires on an s30?
Ok, this time I remembered to search but all the threads were on wider tires, I'm looking at bigger diameter tires on the rear wheels. So I have two questions,
a. Will they rub? I'm thinkin no but I'm not sure.
b. How can I retune the speedometer so I know how fast I'm going? The tires I'm looking at are 255/50 16" the website suggested 40 for a 16" rim.
Thanks

on the size fitment issue i have no idea.
but on the speed question that is easy dont worry about changing anything go to discount tires website and find the link that lets you calculate your speed with different size tires. like my car for instance it calls for 225/50 r16 i have 245/50 r16 on it so at 60 miles an hour my speedometer is reading 5 miles an hour too slow so i keep in mind that what ever my speedo says to add 5 to it if im above 30mph cause any speed lower and i dont care.
for instance if it says im going 60 im really going 65 or 120 im going 130 and so on
on the plus side if you do alot of freeway driving the mile on your odometer wont be correct they will actually be lower than actual just for your info.
however that is not super significant anyways

I believe the stock had a 70 profile ratio.
that would be 175/70R14
You should really do some searching before you post
