turn signal when brake

My turn right/passenger side turn signal turns on when i brake...It turns on solid and does not blink but i am wondering if this is some kind of indication of something or if i just have some wires crossed...it just recently started doing this when i was trying to hook up a new speedometer cable...maybe i just bumped something but i dont know what i could have done to cause this...Just wondering if it means something that anyone knows of???

Definitely a crossed/shorted wire(s). There's no diagnostic like that on these cars. While it could be anywhere between the dash and the lamps, it's likely somewhere around where your hands/arms were while fishing the speedo cable up there. A multimeter and the schematic from the FSM would probably help keep the aggravation to a minimum in finding the problem.
good luck,
Dave
