Got the replacement rockers in so i was able to fit one side yesterday
Old rocker with whatever it was they used to fix holes.....
New Nissan Quest Alternator installed, had to make some modifications for the bottom bolt
eyeing up a measurement for the tensioner
Tensioner made out of a lower link from a NHRA Modified circle track car

Amazing
Just read the post, an amazing amount of time effort and $$, completely rebuilding the car, any idea if it is going to be a bit heavier ? No doubt it will be stiffer, I cant imagine the frame bending unless you get hit by a train. Sorry to hear you broke your wrist, bad luck. Great build, hope to see the finished car !

Thanks for looking! Yeah it will definitely be heavier, I only had access to .120 wall tubing for the frame so that is a lot of weight right there. It will be a ton stiffer though. I have ordered the material to finish the cage and the floor so hopefully I will get some pictures of that progress.

Did a little more work on the engine and chassis
Some nice powder coating to make my parts pretty
Engine looking dapper as FUDGE lol
Oil cooler/relocate
Templates for the new floor
Cut out the whole firewall to replace it and make it easier to weld the cage in
new floor pieces bent and bead rolled, have to say that .060 steel is a lot harder to work with then the 22g that i am used to
Still need to shave some areas off and make them fit but its an idea how it will sorta look

Dude, I was looking at info for a l28et swap for my friends 260z, and I came across this page. I actually registered for the site just to comment on your thread (and to bookmark the "how to build your own car" thread lol). But seriously man, this is the most insane, amazing thing I have ever seen, and I'm on the internet looking at cars, and lurking on forums ALOT lol.
From the artwork, to the custom fabrication, to the creative insight, to the perseverance, and the list goes on and on. I know a lot of people that are extremely artistic, and I know a lot of people that are very good at engineering, but I have never seen anyone that combines those two qualities like you obviously do. The two are usually mutually exclusive. You've seriously done the work of an entire shop of talented people almost entirely by yourself. I am just utterly amazed at your abilities kind sir.
After reading your thread I feel like I could go out and build my own car (I know I can't, but I am so inspired by your work, I feel like I could lol). Please keep up the fantastic work, and please, please keep us updated with lots and lots of pictures. I love the art, and I love the paint scheme, and I can't wait to see the finished project. All this, and it's got and rb25 in it lol

Great build!!!
Dud, your are a real inspiration, your work it's incredible, keep it up
Once your are done with the project and the car is rolling, and if for some reason the transmission breaks, how are you going to remove it?

I'm guessing he'll pull it out the engine bay still attached to the motor.
