Air Cleaner Swap on SU carbs
#2
you have to drill holes in some of them, other wise you are going to have to custom fabricate something. i have the 2 k&n air cleaner assemblies, and what i did was drill holes for the carb vac lines (1 in each) and then one more in the front one for the little valve on the wheelwell.... i just put a cheapy little breather on my PCV valve and i disconnected my smog stuff... i used little rubber vacuum nipples from autozone to put in the holes i drilled to attach the lines to. if you want pics i can take some later... i have some but it's from the drivers side, so you won't be able to see the lines.. any questions let me know!

yes, i get the fume smell..... if you get the air horns (i got mine from MSA) they fit inside the k&n set-up. however, as i have learned, the difference in flow is slightly better from the twins as compared to the stock cleaner. it looks much nicer IMHO.... but it will set you back about $240 to get the cleaners and the air horns as compared to the $40 for the k&n replacement filter.... it's really up to you, tho.
