Blow off valve hook up?
I was wondering if anyone knew the proper way to hook up a blow off valve on a 240Z. We swaped a 280Z Turbo engine into it and are trying to hook up the blow off valve. I put it in put but I dont know where the vacuum line that goes from the B.O.V. goes to. If anybody knows, or whould have any pics of their set up it would be greatly appreciated. Thanx

I tried that but it does't make that notorious pssss noise. Then i thought that maybe it was opening but it wasn't making the psss noise, so what i did is rev it and then look to see if the B.O.V. would open up but no it doesn't. I even losened the B.O.V. so that the spring wouldn't be so stiff and it still doesn't seem to open.

You should be able to see the BOV open when vacuum is applied to it. You don' have to rev the motor, as the diaphram only opens when there is vacuum in the manifold. If it isnt' opening, then there is something wrong with your valve, probably a torn diaphram. You might not be hearing the "noise" since there might not be enough boost for it to vent off. Just a thought on the last thing.

BOV
T Off The Hose From The Rising Pressure Regulator Thats How I Have It Hooked Up On My 280Zx Just Make Sure To Zip Tie It Or Clamp The Hoses So It Wont Leak
And Losen Your Blow Off Valve To See How Loud You Want It
I Got A APEXI Twin Chamber BOV Its Really Loud I Think Thats The Best BOV So Far Because The Other BOV's Sound Weak Maybe Greddy Its Ok But APEXI Is The Best
