chassis reinforcement?

Has anyone done any chassis reinforcement on their cars?

I've got a fairly tame power goal of 300 to the wheels I'm wondering if theres really any need to reinforce the chassis with such a tame power goal

I've heard both sides that our chassis is beyond weak and that the car could easily support a lot of power without additional crap needed..any insight is appreciated

Bingo.

You won't be flexing your chassis any time soon

You'll flex it, but it won't be that noticeable. You'll most die/maimed/paralyxed in any medium/serious car crash though without a cage.

Thanks for the help...I'll be doing a little frame restoration this winter so I'll beef it up in places...I'm still debating the cage idea

Check out Bad Dog Auto Parts for frame rail reinforcements and a rear sub-frame for the Z cars. A roll cage would also help. Just some info to add to your research list.
