need some tips please help
hey just bought ny first 240z. defineatly not my first datsun but my first 240. now im wanting to keep a z engine in it, preferibly one of the L series. ive heard roomers that you can put a e88 head on a l28 block. it will run high compression but it will work. myth or truth? now if i were to do that and cam it, would i run a cam for a e88 or for a p79 or n42.. or is there even gana be a difference. what i mean is if i run a cam thats made for a l28 on a l24 head is it going to cause problems. next question. what would be the best type of header. im going for as much power out of a N/A motor that i can get without going overboard and still being streetable. i want to get some nice doubble webber sidedrafts. the carbs the engine has on it now are SU's i think. but they arnt the ones ud normally see. they are much bigger and uglier. i think they were made for emisions pourposes so i want to replace them. i dont think the engine will outflow doubbles. if it will please let me know. also, what are the pros and cons to a lighter flywheel, electric fans and electric waterpump? next question, whats the easiest way to get a posi rear end for a 240. just weld the spider gears up or get an actual r200 replacement.. last question. what are good ways to drop weight, not that these things weigh anything anyway but i wana drop a little weight, but not lose structural integrity. thanks for the help guys. ps. im in iraq right now and we just sent 3 guys home in caskets. so have their families in your prayers
