preferred set of spark plugs

What kind of plugs do you guys like to run in your Z's? I've always used Bosch Platinums, and I like them, they work well with my Pertronix electronic points condenser system. I see that some of you guys prefer the NGK plugs, so I'm just curious what everyone's preference is.

I use the NGK. I was told that the Bosch plugs are manufatured for free-flow heads and dont work as good in Older Datsun and Honda blocks. I have heard that the plugs waer out faster. When i was using Bosch they would only last about 10k. I get about 25k on the NGKs.

Just my 2 cents

well, I got my Z running again with a "new" block, and I'm wanting to do everything right. I want to ask again: what's the best set of plugs to run in my Z? I run the bosch platinums in my Z, and they seem to do well, but as 280Z4ME said, they are meant for free flowing heads. I just want whatever is going to be the best performance and life of the engine.

NGK Iridium's - when I first got mine going it used to eat plugs. . .read 500km. . due to very rich AFR's - I put in Iridiums and haven't looked back. They are expensive though. . .over here they cost me $18 a plug (aust.)
They in a normal vehicle they last 40-60,000km
Cheers - Simon

I buy cheap stuff at Shucks Auto Parts. I have Ford Autolight Spark Plugs, and an 8A oil filter on my old Z motor!

It mostly depends on what your doing. NGK make various spark plugs at different tempretures. Find the balance for your needs. hotter plugs for mountain climbs (short but more power needed) and slightly cooler ones for curciut racing (more endurance). Also depends on ambient temps too.
