Project Z: Restoration and Modification
I'm currently in the middle of restoring/modifying my 1974 260Z as my daily driver. Nothing over the top, just a ride that will keep me smiling when I'm on the road.
Planned modifications:
-header-exhaust system, 2.5 inches wide
-4 piston front calipers
-rear disc brake conversion with 2 piston calipers
-ZG Fender flares + BRE style spoiler
-JDM Fender mirrors
-BRIDE GIAS II reclining bucket seats
Current issues
-dead tachometer, worked once, then just died. Unknown cause.
-rust hole in the floor
My main question is about the tach, does anybody have an idea what could be causing it? I have checked wiring diagrams and my battery is only about a week old. Thanks in advance! Will be updating the thread regularly.

Make sure your coil polarity is correct and at the big resistor next to it. The tach reads the + signal from the coil. Also in line with the tach feed under the dash is a small resistor that could b but likely bad. Or the tach simply died.
Good luck with your build and welcome to Zdriver!
