Rattling

Whats Up Z Friends?
I Need A Little Help Trying To Figure Something Out.
When I'm Out Driving My '78 280z And Start Getting In To The Gears. I Start To Hear Something Rattling For The Engine. It Does It Best When I'm In Second Gear Around 3500 (rpm) Go To Thrid And It Does It Around 4000 (rpm). I Just Finished Up On Tighting Up My Valves Last Week. I'm Thinking It Might Be Time For A Oil Change. But Any Advice Would Be Nice.
Thank You For Help

What kind of rattle?
Does it sound like sheet metal? or like the valves pinging?

Could be your timing chain. It usually happens at this rpm especially if you hold it at that speed with no load.
