Setting the timing of an L24
Hiya!
I've been working on an L24 for a while now and ready to put it all back together. But, I've run into the problem of timing the engine properly...
I've never seen a timing setup like these and frankly, am scared I may not put something right.
Let me start off with, I've read the rotor has to be at an 11 o'clock position with the engine's front cylinder at TDC... well, if that's the case what is the cam gear supposed to be at? I see no markings on it so far and it has three holes on it that I'm guessing retards or advances the cam timing?
Frankly, does anyone know the exact timing procedure? if so, could you post it here step by step please?

One of the things I've noticed is that the 2 little dots on the oil pump drive gear and the oil pump according to the book are supposed to be lined up, but that never worked for me. I always had to back the gear up about one tooth to make the dist come out in the right spot. It may be that in the process of assembly it moves to the indicated spot(no way of seeing). That's about the only thing that seems like it could be a problem.
