1977 Bumper End Pieces Need Split Repair
Hello everyone. I have a 1977 280Z. The rear bumper end pieces have the typical partial split in the accordion section. I've tried a contact cement and a glue guaranteed for rubber/plastic with no luck. Does anyone know the right stuff to do the repair, or a place I can send them to to do a good repair? Besides the small splits they are in great condition. Thanks, Kevin

I fixed some splits on 240z bumpers using windsheild sealer. After it cures for 30 minutes you can smear some acetone over it with your finger to blend it. I did it in 2 layers. On yours you could make a patch for the back side out of rubber sheet. Use the sealer as a glue to hold the pieces together and clamp until dry. Then fill the crack on the front side as I did above. You can get sealer and primer on ebay. It takes 5 days to get the black off your fingers lol.
