1978 280Z L28 ferrari kit car sitting for 20years all cleaned up
hey everyone just wanted to stop in and share a car that we got into our shop... some may like it some may not.
so we got it in our shop at RPM Restorations and the owner has had the car sitting for about 20+ years and asks us to get the car running and clean it all up. its a Ferrari Kit car
still waiting on a few parts for the engine from The Z store. clutch and brake master cylinder setups and a AFM TB boot and air intake setup.
here is it cleaned up and shiny again.

One of the guys in our local Z club has one of those. It's a pretty neat modification. The interior on this one is done in gaudy Italian.
According to the owner of this one, the folks who made these kits got in some trouble with Ferrari.

There is an older gentleman that has one here in Los Angeles... I have seen him at our local Sunday parking lot car show.
On the other hand, Tom Price brings his real 250 GTO out to the races at Sonoma and Monterey annually... unbelievable car to hear and see race... photo attached (sorry about my creepy smile).
Personally, I would be embarrassed driving this fake one around.
