I need to find a stronger rearend for my 240Z. I will be doing a RB32T engine i my car. I don't think the stock rearend can hold 450HP. Does anyone have a suggestion?

 

If your 240 is "stock", it has the R180 differential. You might consider going with the R200 Differential from a 280Z or 280ZX. The R200 has a 200MM ring gear (versus the 180MM ring gear in the R180). You will also need to get the Mustashe Bar (AKA Differential Case Mounting Rear Bar), Front Differential Mount and Insulator, and Rear Transverse Link Mount from the rear end with the R200 differential - these items are different on the R180 differential.

I recall reading that the Q45 runs an R230 that is LSD and quite strong. If I remember correctly, it can be transfered to the Z with similar mods that would be needed to install a late model Z rear end.
