(280z California) Floor Temp Warning
I saw this
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...tem=2425594352
On ebay, and I'm curious they said it had a Floor Temp Warning light that was only issued for the callifornia cars. Does anyone know what this is and what it's function is. Thanks

I'm pretty sure it's a sensor located near the catalitic converter. I've never seen one in a Z so all I can tell you is that it senses over heating of the converter to warn you of fire danger.

My mom had one in her 77 Datsun Pickup she always said if that light comes on your dead. I have one in my 78 but my 81 does not or did any of my 240,s. I had a 260 that did so I would go with the converter theory. But since i no longer have a converter cause luckily this state does not yet require one, I dont have to worry about that little light.
