280z Rear End/Axle

I am considering buying the 4.11 rear end out of a 200SX. I was wondering if the entire rear end axle, disks and all will bolt on? What would I need to do to get the disk brakes from the 85-86 200SX to work with the 280z brake system?

are not both those cars IRS?... as in no "entire rear axle"?.... a quick google images search suggests so.

I'm not sure. Now that you mention it I know the 280z has independent suspension. With my obvious newbness exposed what about the second question. What would it take to make the rear disk brakes work on the 280z? Is it even worth the effort or should I upgrade the brakes some other way?

Thank for the warm welcome and the help. I just bought a rusted out 77 280z. It will be the first car I've ever done more than change the oil on.

Nismo,
What brakes are best to use with that bracket? In the link it says, "allows bolt on usage of late model 1989-1994 rear 240SX calipers". Does that mean the brackets won't work on the 85-86 200SX disk brakes? I was hoping to get the 200SX 4.11 rear end and brakes at the same time so it's cheaper.

sorry for being easily confused. This is an entirely new set of vocabulary for me.

So far I've removed the seats and interior to get to the rusty floor boards. This weekend I hope to get sheet metal plates welded into the gaping holes left by the rust.
