280zxt mpg

I topped up the fuel, drove 25 miles on the freeway at 3500 rpm. Returned the same way. Averaged 13 mpg. What's wrong? Sensor?

Forgot to mention the plugs look like it is running rich. I use the car on tracks at 5000 rpm so I dont want to go too lean.

What kind of tranny are you using? My car is averaging around 17-19 miles per gallon. If I floor it around town then it goes to 15. It's a 3spd auto.

You may have a faulty fuel chip, The previous owner of my car
had his go defective and was running full rich all the time. Those cost some serious money to replace too.

It might be an O2 sensor. Find out the last time you changed that...changing that would impove gas mileage.
