antenna idea....!
i have an alternative if you dont like the antenna on your 240, 260, 280z car...what i did was remove the antenna and placed it in the car..i know i know, what about the hole of the antenna, well if you dont want to bondo the car and dont care about looks to much, try putting those rubber plugs that you see in trunks or on the floor pans...i enclosed a picture on the attachment,,tell me what yah guys think of it..i like it.

Hey Datto, long time no see. I like the idea, and it's a very good fix I should have used in my former 260Z when the radio crapped out. The car looks better with no antenna IMO. I have thought about using the VW-tuner style antennas on top of the roof, but I am still thinking about it. Did you actually leave the antenna loose like that? Have you thought about running it along the interior ceiling or along the corner edge of the floor? (Just a thought) Thanks for letting me know the reception is good. On my 240Z project, I'll probably just bondo or glass over the hole anyway =)

Heh,
Ok I went to the hardware store to have some keys made and so i decided to try this out. I picked up some ruber feet for a chair leg and stuck it in. Unfortunantly i misjudged the size and it kinds sticks up into the air real high. Oh well it works i'd been meaning to patch that hole, thanks for reminding me Datto. I think i just might pick up a smaller one later.

I like it. Somewhat smoother of a look than having the ant. sticking up in the air off the side of the car.
