Anyone know a good Carbourator mechanic?
I am working on a 1974 260Z and about to the point of FINALLY driving it! I am looking for a good reference on someone who knows and can work on these dual carborators for this car, one of the carborators is pooring gas and needs rebuild/tuned, anyone who can help, please advise soon, thanks!!

Nobody seems to like those flat top SUs but you can get kits from Victoria British as well as a book on them. it's not rocket science. Simpler than a Holley or Rochester. If you can find a deal on ebay for the early SUs you can bolt them on your same manifold.

Do a simple rebuild and you will know pretty much all you need to know about them. They are pretty simple in the carb world. Not like messing with a quadrajet.
If it'ss dumping gas, my thoughts is that you have a sticky float, or a needle that is just dirty. Not a big deal. Rebuild, and you should be just fine. Unless you have done a lot of work to the rest of the car, I doubt you would need any different parts like jets.
