been a while, an update
replaced the battery and the damn thing ran the longest it has in months. my charging system works fine. didn't wait to see if it would eventually die (running for about 30 mins). my real q is when i place it in drive i can hear a gurgle sound from around the intake/fuel rail. it only goes away if i pull the vac line from the fpr.
if i plug that vac line with my finger the sound comes back. any ideas what it could be?????
thanks
jeff

Re: been a while, an update
finally stuck a gauge between the filter and rail and got some surprises. it starts out at ~35psi and then jumps to 80psi. it then randomly surges between 40 and 80psi. is this normal for pressure before the regulator???????
if so i think my problem is either a faulty pump or one of the relays.

Re: been a while, an update
Replace your FPR ( fuel pressure regulator). You have done the test now and got the readings that indicate your problem. If you do not replace FPR you are going to (burn up) your fuel pump. In other words the motor in the fuel pump. I have been where you are going. Just get a new one. Cost $59.95-$70.00 depending on where you get it. Do not I repeat do not get a used one. Replacing the FPR should solve your problem if you have not destroyed the fuel pump. Hope that this helps and post back your results.
