Brights dont work
My brights wont come on, Ive been told to clean them, but Im not to sure on where i should clean. Does that pin that holds on the lever just tap out? Ive tried pulling it out but no luck. I think once I get that out it'll go a lot smoother but i dont want to mess that up.

brights
When I first got my car, only my high beams worked, I took out that lever and cleaned it but it didn't seem to help. I ended up with a new switch. It might work out for you though... It's not hard to take it off, don't worry about messing anything up.

Headlight woes
My 280Z had the problem of high beams only working. I replaced the switch with no success and finally had to clean the connectors in the wiring harness just forward of the passenger foot area. There are two, one white and one black. The two headlight circuits are separate and both connectors must be cleaned--they get corroded with age, water, battery acid, etc.
Good luck--be sure and check out the switch first, as it is the most likely culpret.

I periodically have a problem with my brights not coming on - car goes dark when I select them but works fine on dims. Don't use them often because most diving is in a metropolitan area and always have oncoming traffic. What I do when that happens is cycle them until they start working. high-low-high-low-...... First time I did it it took like 50 cycles - but they started working. I've done it about 7 or 8 times since then in the 12 years I've had the car.
