Not sure what year, 81-83. I went to look at a 84 Turbo for sale and sitting beside the garage was a 280Z that has been off the road for awhile. It has flares and ground effects that look stock. Stiched on the seat backs is a styleizes logo that says california custom 280Z.
Is this a rare model. Should I pick it up if the price is right? Body looks good. interior is starting to get a little mouldy, but not all ripped up.

 

#1... 79-83 Z's are 280ZX's.

#2... Sounds like someone had the seats taken to an upholstery shop.

Is the color scheme white and purple?

I've seen a couple of those around. One person tried to sell it for big bucks but nobody bought it. Get it if you can, but its just an aftermarket kit and paint job. Not that big of a deal
