If you don't want anything radiacal... go w/ a mild cam.

Only if you want to keep your warranty & prevent damage to your new cam:

When you use your already worn rocker arms, they can transfer their wear pattern onto your cam... if there are any impropper wear patterns, or defects in your rockers, your new cam will then receive the same pattern.

Also... depending on which cam you choose, you might need stiffer springs.

Yeah, you deffinately want more air w/ the stage III. You're going to port the intake to match the head right?

I had the 274 duration cam (stage 2?) and it was pretty good. It shifted the power band up by about 500 RPM on stock electronics, but Im sure it would have run much better on a properly tuned megasquirt. I threw it in with the old rockers without any problems, but your experience may vary...

If you are seriously going to port & polish your head, do not polish the intake side. If the surface is too smooth on the intake, the fuel will not atomize properly, and it will be slower than it was before. What I did with mine was ported the intake side like a bitch, and smoothed out the exhaust side. THen I ported my exhaust manifold to match that. I actualy roughed up the intake side a little. I didn't port the intake, just cleaned it up with sandpaper.
