Can anybody tell me about these cars?
Hi, I've recently become interested in the 240Z style of cars. From what I understand they are fun to drive, relativelly cheap, and from what I can tell they look amazing.
However, I don't like the stock look of the 240Z, but rather the slightly modified ones. Can somebody tell me about the body kits on these cars:

and
http://www.showcars-bodyparts.com/24...airs-gnose.jpg
They both look lowered, plus having a different nose style on each of them.
One more question -- what are the upgrades in order to get higher horsepower from the stock (or the 280Z) engine?
Thanks,
/Dan

well the top kit you can get from the MSA
www.zcarparts.com
go to ONLINE STORE at the top right there and then accesories and then body styling or whatever follow the links...
the bottom is a G-nose kit and i believe i saw one on Ebay for sale a while back....its pricey tho and i wouldnt know if theres a company that makes one...
you can do many upgrades depends how far you wanna go
all the way from like filterchargers to turbo's
minor mods would be maybe head work, cams, headers, exhaust, intake larger trottle bodies and so on...... hope that did anything im sure youll get way more replies so just sit back...

Having owned every year Z from 70-81. I currently drive a 78 with some minor mods. I have put on a K&N intake a 21/2 exhaust and an MSA ground effects kit. I have installed Miata seats they are a lot more supporttive than the stock seats. They do have a limit in the size of the person. I am 5'6" and weigh about 140lbs. I figure you can fit someone 5'8" and around 180 max.
Any ways if you are going to get a Z any of the first gens are the best to start. Like Skully said the Performance is dependant on the size of your wallet. I have about 1000.00 invested in mine including rims and tires.
Enjoy your Z you will love it and it will take care of you as long as you do the same.
