cannon intake.......or is he cooking a fat can of bul_____

well i was checking out sum places for parts and i saw this lil thingy on ebay.
calls it a cannon intake, says its a sought after part and in his personal message to me said it makes "big gains in hp"
then again it kinda looks like the stock part, just curious though if its any good?

um, it's actually a popular mod... it's meant for ITB's.

you COULD get that item on ebay, even though its in kinda shotty shape, and then get yourself some ITB's for it and go to town. that would be a pretty significant mod

That's a Cannon manifold for triple Weber carbs. The carbs (new) and all the linkage will cost you at least another $600. I see them complete on ebay for about that much used. MSA sells new for $2000-$2300. I've never seen ITB's on one but 6 Hyabusa ITB's on it would be awsome with a engine management system. You can't just bolt on a bunch of things and get good results without starting on the inside of it. Your going to end up with a "ran when it was parked sale".

yeah i wasnt sure if that was for ITB's either because i didnt see any sort of injector holes and the throttle linkage runs over teh ITB's themselves no? but from that picture i couldnt make up my mind... so i kept my mouth shut.
