Carb conversion

im wondering how difficult it would be to convert from fuel injected to carbs. and what it would take and what it would eliminate as far as components under the hood and what not. thanks

EFI is easier to work on and diagnose once you understand how it all works. It might be frustrating at first, but nobody learned how to work on cars over night.

i hear ya. i was just wondering because i dont exactly have much money to start replacing some of the more expensive parts like the injectors and what not. but i think i can get everything to swap to carbs from a friend. so im just trying to figure out if its a viable option.

A new set of injectors and connectors for your car are less then $100, I would be more worried about the condition of the wiring harness and AFM.

do you happen to know where i can get them for that because from like oreilly or autozone its like a $330 for all six injectors. and yeah the AFM is another one i dont wanna have to try and replace. but my wiring harness is actually in pretty good shape ive already went through all that. i just cant seem to get it to stay running thats why im worried about having to replace stuff cause im down to it being the injectors and or AFM

Its really easy to do. I would trouble shoot your issue first a little more.

ive been trying haha, ive been trying to troubleshoot since i got the car which was like over a month ago and it just hasnt been going very well. im down to it being the injectors. AFM or ECU. im getting an AFM from a buddy of mine but hes not sure if its any good. im gonna try and pull my fuel rail and make sure the injectors are working and if they arent, i cant replace em unless i can get them super cheap. because as far as i can tell right now converting to carbs i wouldnt have to put out much money if it at all because im getting it all from a buddy. only thing i might have to get is the aircleaner. and maybe crab rebuild kit which ive found for fairly cheap.
