carborated to fuel injected
I am sure this has been dealt with in an earlier forum but I could not find it. Can anyone tell me how hard or easy it is to change a carborated 280Z to a fuel injected one. I may have found a 1976 280Z but it is carborated and I would prefer fuel injected.
Thanks, Dan

Re: carborated to fuel injected
that's kinda hard to say. Since the 280Z came with fuel injection, it all depends on how much has been ripped out to make room for the carbs.
You'll need the proper gas tank from a fuel injected Z, the high pressure fuel lines up to the engine compartment, fuel pump, intake manifold with throttle body and AFM, fuel rail, wiring harness, injection computer, and that's about it.
Its not all that hard. some people have put a 2.8L FI engine in a 240Z and said it was a snap!
