Re: Cruise control turns on but doesn't work
Something that I have found on mine that is keeping it from not working is the little stopper, on the clutch pedal itself, that engages the (I think this is the correct term for it) "Clutch Safety Switch", which is actually the kill switch for the cruise control in the case that you engage the clutch, it kills the cruise, without this little stopper the switch is constantly in the open position and therefore the cruise thinks you have the clutch pedal pushed in. Check it out and see what you think.

I had the same problem so pulled the vacume hoses off my 79 this fixed the problem but I can only engage up to 80 MPH. I am thinking of changing the rest of the system to see if that helps. Check your vacume routing first then check you two vacume coils and the boost pump.

Nah, FIRST thing to check is the safety switch on either the clutch or the brake pedal (depending on whether it's auto or manual). If the switch is not depressed (i.e. the switch isn't being pressed fully by the pedal or it's fitting into a hole in the pedal like mine did) then check the switch, then the hoses. Like I said, mine's an auto but the safety switch and brake light switch both were fitting into two holes in the brake pedal so I had to plug the holes. Hope this helps.

Hey guy, cool to see another Razorback in the group. What did you do to plug the holes?

Sometimes the pedals get worn, so to go along with the other
dudes try putting your foot under and lift the clutch then brake
pedals while engaging the cruise. If either of them allow it to be turned on then check the return spring of that pedal. Yeah
and why can't I engage the cruise at 110, dammit.
