custom stereo
Has anyone out there installed a stereo into a 240z somewhere besides the factory slot in order to keep the factory stereo intact. If so, where! I'm wondering if it's possible to install one below the glove compartment, or in it? Or? Any ideas?

Re: custom stereo
I had a 240Z back in the 80s and It came with an 8 track stereo. I left the 8 track in and I had a cassette player installed underneath the glove box. It took about 3 inches away from Passenger side legroom. But I ended up with an AMFM system with 8 track and cassette

Re: custom stereo
I had my CD player in the glove box it was simple to install all you need to do is run your wiring then cut out the back of the glove box just enough that the stereo fits and make a custom front plate to suport the stereo and fill the gaps. and it makes a good hiding place for it to.
