curious when did datsun come out. eirly 1960's correct? i just had some guy tell me that my 77 datsun 280z isnt a datsun its a nissan. i told him that it is a nissan, but b4 nissan was called nissan they were called datsun. hence the datsun badging on my car... and if i recal datsun came out in the eirly 60s right

thats badass thanks man, but i was almost right datsun was introduced to the US in 1959..

 

yeah in japan they were known as nissan, just the usa, canada, and england knew them as datsun

 

a friend of mine has a 1959 Datsun sedan.... crazy
