hi there. can I use a 280z engine with 240z carbs( round top)? it will work right?

Yes you can, but why would you downgrade from fi?

Because SU's are super cool!

Or probably because he has a 240Z/260Z and wants it to look more original.

I have a L28 with roundtop SU's.

First thank you for responses. secondly, I had a 76 280 with some rust on that I was planning to restore. never happened. Then I got my hands on a 73 240. much better I think. I am new with this car, so please correct my mistakes. lighter car, bigger engine. carbs easy to fix and maintain.

I am also planning to do a 4 to 5 trans. swap. do I need to modify the driveshaft? i will use the 280 diff. on a 240.

sure use carbs it is a conspiracy that has een foisted upon us to believe that fuel injection is the devils work which is why you can not buy a carburetted car any morel
