Re: Engine Swaps
Lots of engines can go into z's or zx's. Yes, the chevy 350 can go in, there is a kit somewhere for a jaguar v12, SR26DETT, and a whole lot of other nissan engines. I have even seen radical custom z's with a viper v10 and a chevy 454. As far as HP, not all 350's are created equal. You can always stroke it...always redo internals...hp can vary anywhere between 250 and 600. $$ = HP. As far as a jag...no idea.

Re: Engine Swaps
there's no chevy 351 (that would be cleveland/windsor ford motors), and there's no SR26DETT (there's sr20det, and rb26dett, one being a 4cyl, the other a 6)
jaguar v12 is a pos motor imo, i wouldn't bother with it. and seriously, I don't think you're ready for a motorswap yet (involves having a Z first )

Here's a link to the Hybrid Z site were you will find lots of engine conversion info http://www.hybridz.org
A couple of guys are working on the Jag V12 convesion but many (hundreds?) have completed the SBC (Small Block Chevy) conversion. You can buy the conversion manual at JTR http://www.jagsthatrun.com/Pages/Datsun_Z_V-8.html
