I finally purchased my z. It is phat. It has an exhaust leak right where the header connects to the head. It is leaking under cylinders 5 and 6. To fix it, i would need to break the weld and reweld. My question is, what if I don't fix it? What potential problems could occur? I have every intention of fixing it, however I am wondering what the consequences are if I didn't. Thanks once again for the help.

 

Burned valves. Horrible sound. Burned valves. Exhaust in the cabin. Burned valves. Very unequal pressure between cylinders. Burned valves. Lack of back pressure causing loss of low end torque. However, I'd be worried about burning my exhaust valves.

Keep the greasy side down.
