A Few Problems With My 260z
I have a few questions for you fellow enthusiasts.
First of all I have a 260z with a faulty tacho well I believe it's only the tacho. The problem is that it only flickers at higher revs and at idle it sits just above zero other than that it doesn't move. I was wondering if the tacho needs repairs to it or could it be somewhere else? If it's the tacho which I was told it is, is it possible to repair myself with a soldering iron or do I need a new one?
On the topic of gauges I had a non working fuel guage which didn't work in the tank but when I took it out and moved it up and down gave me an accurate reading. To get around this problem I simply bent the actual float downwards and now it works just not very accurately does any one know how to correct this problem so I can get a more accurate fuel reading?
Finally I have a 260z 2+2 with an L28 engine and 240z carbs which need constant tuning can anyone tell me how to tune these bastards as I have a ruff idea and also what degree's is required for the electrical timming I have currently set it to 10 Is this correct?
Thanks Fellas.
