First day with new project 260z.... any advice for possible future problems?

First day with new project 260z.... any advice for possible future problems?
just bought abused 1974 260z. engine is missing the carbs and muffler. all electrical seems intact. interoir is great just dirty and missing driver seat. plan on doing interior and then body to give me time and money to decide on future of engine situation....replace or rebuild (v8).
any advice wil be great, dont care what it is. just became member to site and very excited. give me a shout!!
