Front Brakes (Porsche conversion)
Thumbing through the photos at the gallery and I noticed this... Has anyone else seen this..Note the name on the Caliper...
It was on an early model Z

I looked at that car carefully, but didn't notice the name on the calipers. Here's the thingie: do you think it was any cheaper/better to go with the Porsche hardware???? Although impressive, it's probably more work/$$$ than necessary. What do you think?

Hey Kyle, I think I've heard of this being done before.

Sanisha has an RB26DETT in his 240z email and ask him I think he has Porche Calipers correct me if I'm wrong.

Re: Front Brakes (Porsche conversion)
Anybody want me to try to find a few extra copies for them ? I'm in North Carolina, I would think you west coast guys would have an easier time finding an import mag than me though !
BTW, I am suffering from the "Netscape" issue, but it does seem to be more broad than that. Konquerer (a linux KDE browser) logs me in fine, but returns an unknown host error when I try to post, Mozilla, not suprisingly, behaves just like Netscape (4.75 and 6.01). Looks like this is an IE only board after all !

Re: Front Brakes (fake?)
Well, once when I was in traffic, I noticed a newer Porshe 911 next to me. the four piston calipers matched front and back and I thought that they look exactly like the front 4-piston Toyota 4x4 calipers that all Z-lovers put on their cars.
Why don't you just get the toyota bolt-ons and paint them red?!? :-)

Re: Front Brakes (fake?)
HaHA! That's exactly what I'm going to do. VHT and some other companies make caliper specific paint. With good prep work, they'll come out perfect looking and something to be proud of. Besides, why do I want "Porsche" on my Z car anyway?!? Eeww...
