Hi there!
yes! I think you have to use that one! It's probably the best thing for her! I have problems with my car. after warming her up and then stop for about 10 minutes I loose like 3 cillenders. I have replaced my coffee can filter and some other stuff but it keeps happening. I posted my problem maybe you can look and help me!

Any in-line filter can do the job, you can get a dainty little one that will still flow plenty of fuel, they just don't last as long.
If you have the electric pump in the back, you should have something before the pump. Otherwise a single filter in the engine compartment will do.

Great any recommendations on a decent in line. I was thinking of the kind that has the clear glass cover so I can see how dirty the filter is. Where behind the pump should I have a second filter? Do I just cut the fuel line and install a durable metal sleeved one?.

If you've got a fuel injection system, you should use the metal-bodied filter, and make sure to use FI hose clamps to install it. I was assuming you had carbs, if that's the case than yeah, the see-through plastic filters are great for checking out how clogged the filter is, and how clean your tank is staying.
What brand is more a matter of philosophy. I always recomend the best-priced part that will do the job, other people pay premium prices and want 'only the best.'
As for me, I've had plenty of problems with expensive name-brand parts and I am convinced they aren't any better than the generic equivalent.
