Fuel rail build

Fuel rail build
Most of you know I'm new to this, and I had some issues with a PO where he cut the factory fuel rail with a hacksaw...
This was an inexpensive approach from siteunseen over at classiczcar, so I decided to give it a shot. Guys are selling these on ebay finished for $100+
Fuel rail pictures, Pomorza
So I bought two feet of this from ebay and it was right at $20

(edit) posted the wrong ones....
I bought 10 of these from fastenal at $1.70:
Fastenal hose barbs
I had some supplies already, like a drill press and a drill press vise... I had to buy the NPT tap for the fittings.
I trimmed the end off the rail (two feet is too long), and that gave me enough material left over to make a test piece (I made a short, two injector rail). I made this to test out the setup. Everything seemed fine so I went for it.
Here's my drill setup:
After I tapped the holes with the NPT tap (It's Americas thread!) I cleaned everything out and installed the fittings. I found on the test piece it was possible to get too deep in the end holes and bottom out the fitting before it gets tight. Maybe this isnt an issue, but it seems like the theory of NPT is that it should tighten on the threads, not the fitting itself...
Finshed rail:
I made these rudimentary mounting brakets out of zinc coated steel stock (about $6 for more than enough at a big box store). Still have to drill the holes for the fasteners, but I'm not 100% sure this is the right position. I may shorten the hose barbs and also shorten the injector hoses. A buddy recommended getting the mounting bracket on the bottom to make it more aesthetically pleasing. Other opinions are that once I shorted the hoses I dont need a mounting bracket at all...
So there's what the intake looks like now. The hand clamps are holding the mounting bracket against the rail. I just installed two injectors for positioning purposes. I think the injector fittings are too shallow here and will need to tap them a bit deeper:
Check out the classiczcar post to see how he routed the fuel lines. He used a 78 or later regulator instead of plugging one of the stock regulator lines, and he also has a cold start valve, which I wont have anymore.
Cheers, tell me what you think... Flame On...

Very nice... no, I wont make more and sell them... I have a job already :-)
That's pretty clever mounting the pressure gauge there... are the metal lines scavenged off the old supply / return lines?

injector location dimensions
injector location dimensions , do you have the spacing numbers, I wanted to do a drawing in Solidworks, I have a rail I could pull info off, but I don't have nice measuring tools

Sweet, my measurements were from the center of the first injector hole (front to back)
0, 58, 153, 290, 385, 443 mm
Will be interested to see how close my measurements are to what you found. I didn't get too kicked in the pants about being to precise, knowing that the flex hoses would allow some slop.
My rail is 544 mm, the front injector hole is 45 mm aft of the front of the rail, which makes the rail a bit off center...
