are you familar with how a relay is set up? You can just run one relay and hook the activation wire to power from your running lights. Then the main power out of the relay would connect to your two low beams. That'll work.

running lights on, all lights go on.

you would do all this in the engine compartment. Just take a splice off of one of your front side marker lights. That would activate the relay.
I think we had a thread on relays recently... where is that brother of mine with the links???

I wired up my hid headlights using a relay, but still used my stock switch.

So the switch works fine to turn on the side markers, but doesn't work for the headlights?

no the only lights that come on are my turn signals and my brakes, oh and hazzards. I don't want to cut into it but i need it to drive to work now that i live farther away. My wife has a job interviewso i need mine asap.

One good thing though is that my factory clock still works, and the car has 66k original miles

I suggest rigging up a temp light wiring harness so you don't spice into all your stock wiring. if you don't need side markers to be legal, just run a switch for headlights to a relay & run some wire to the headlights.

To clarify... you said brake lights turn on.... not the tail lights right?

correct when i hit the brakes the lights do come on. no rear running lights though. Side markers are going to get shaved off as soon as I can afford it.

did you run a search? I posted a fix for the common 'headlights don't work' problem... and pics of the switch contact behind the steering wheel. It could be that.

all right new update... Got all of the running lights to work minus one burnt out sde marker light. Head lights are still a no go and cant seem to find the issue... Man I hate wiring, Wish there was an easier way to do this. I don't want to take it to a shop for them to fix it cause they would charge me a hell of a lot.
