I did a search too and the L24 is 427 lbs. The 302 Ford with ally heads is 460, the Chevy with ally heads is 525. LS1 is 460, RB is a whoping 564.

holy poop! didn't think the RB was that much! haha. sure would love an LS motor. to bad they are expensive as *****...

Yeah that was a real diappointment, like having a fat chick with you.lol My favorite is the sbf because it's narrower and with the front dizzy it allows about 2 more inches of setback and I read it gives you a 50/50 weight balance.

yeah, but its a 302 and without forced induction aint gonna make much power with just strap ons, that and with a blow torch and a hammer i can make up those 2 inches with my chevy motor.

hey well we're on the subject of distributor placement, any of you guys have any suggestions on what to do for a hood latch???

they make a new bracket for the SBC setup. **** i might even have one. haha. my 260Z i got from a guy doing the conversion and i think it came with the hood latch bracket for the SBC swap. might still have it lying around.

Lose the dizzy and get megasquirt, the ultimate would be LS1 and a T56.

you do realize he has a carb right? and ***** MS get the WOLF 3d and have a real stand alone EFI system. he would also need some sort of EDIS system using Ls1 coil packs if he where to go dizzy-less.

do HID's safely and use projectors. as a beam of scattered bright as hell light isnt going to do anything for you, you need a projector to focus the light, in other words just because your lights are brighter doesnt mean you can see more and if anything is going to blind oncoming traffic which would create an even worse situation.
