Since my first post I got a close look at a 260z. The 260z interior parts for the rear hatch look like a perfect match for the 240z. The only diff I found was that the 260z I saw had retractable seat belts. The shoulder harness still mounted near the top corners just like the 240z. As soon as I find a donor 260z I'm getting the rest of the pieces I need plus I'm doing the upgrade to the retractable shoulder harness.
I believe the seats can be swapped between 240,260,280zs. Go wild and put in some late model seats. Say from an Eclipse or other car with sport seats. I put in '85 CRXsi seats.

i was told all parts from a interior of a 240 and a 260 were the same. WRONG. most of the parts are the same, But the rear side panels that fit around the rear side 1/4 glass and the matching rear panel ARE different where they fit over the rear strut tower, they give an opening of about 3 " by 7" approx. i unfortunatly tore the complete interior out of a 240 for my 260, only to find this small problem. headliner, overhead rear panel, rear tailight panel, shift console etc. all fit ok.
