Well its raining all day here today and the garage leaks alot so no work on her today......sigh.....sandpaper and nice electric tools both hate water it seems.

Have almost finished the first bad rust area i tackled, the back right corner, just a little more sanding....

 

And i have seen the replacement qtr panels and rear decking. but they were all like $140+, you can buy a heck of a lot of bondo for that!

 

umm your coil goes the other way , if you put it that way there is too much force from acceleration and the seal will wear out too quickly. looks good though

to me it dosent seem much better putting it facing foreward because of braking force but it is the way datsun placed it. for best function it could be mounted vertically but foreward is the stock place

Thanks I cant do any painting until spring because it is to dam cold. I am doing a valve adjustment this weekend. I am going to try and get the Valve cover cleaned while I have it off.

Thank You very much. She loos prety godd for being almost 30. I was going to change the carpet to black. but decided that brown goes really good with a dark blue paint. And it is in great shape, no cracks, tears or fading.

Those Miata seats fit pretty good huh. They only cost 100 for the pair, and they are very comfortable. They only required using the Z seat mounts and 1 inch risers to lift the adjusting arm up.

 

So is this what it looked like when you got it?

 

Yea pretty much minus the air dam. I paid 1000 for her 4 years ago and I have been driving her ever since.
