Leaky Injectors...
Hey all,
I just bought an 83 280zx Turbo 2+2... its pretty nice except it needs shocks/springs, and 2 of the injectors are leaking (not too badly, but any leak is a bad leak...)
I checked the prices in my motorsport auto catalog, and they list the turbo injectors at $147 a piece... i went to www.arizonazcar.com, and they list the turbo injectors at $59 a piece.
are these the same quality? if i can pick up new injectors for $59, I will just replace all six at once instead of just the two leaky injectors...
thanks in advance.

one last thing... what would be a good shock/spring setup for a college student on a budget? I want something that is good, but not too expensive...

Re: Leaky Injectors...
Your injectors...most likely the ones from MSA are just way overpriced...sometimes they are way too proud of their parts...Victoria British also lists their turbo injectors at 59.95, so I would go with those. By the way...make sure you change the o-rings...that may be all that is leaking, not the injectors themselves. As far as the springs/shocks...you have to decide how stiff a ride you want and then stroke the combination according to your needs and budget. Good luck.

Re: Leaky Injectors...
I agree $147 is real expensive. I bought a new set from Dr. Injector in Washington state for $61 a piece total $366 plus $7.85. Those are 280ZXTurbo 25lb. 260cc. In hindsight I had wished I bought a larger output injector set for future performance mods I'm doing right now (boost adjuster, I/C etc.). The injectors carry a 1 year warranty. Also you can send in your old injectors and they will clean and test them for about $29 a piece. So if your not sure if they are any good that may be the way to go. But if they are leaking around the plastic do dad where your plug is located you may as well figure on new injector. There # is 1-888-438-1968 (I think they are also on the web).
